Alzheimer's Disease Summit

The Alzheimer’s Disease Summit was held on May 3, 2008, and provided a comprehensive update of recent advances in AD diagnosis and management. Leading experts in the field, Jeffrey L. Cummings, MD, and Pierre N. Tariot, MD, co-chaired an expert faculty that covered a broad array of urgent topics in AD diagnosis and treatment. These key opinion leaders provided brief lectures focusing on the principal clinically relevant questions surrounding their respective topics. The panelists were joined by a Russell Katz, MD, Director of Neurology products for the US Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Katz provided an update on topics relevant to drug development and emerging therapies for AD and discussed how the FDA views important topics in drug development for AD.
